Hello my full name is Shera Warrior Princess, but you can call me Shera. I was born on February 24, 2005 in San Diego, California. My mothers name is A Girl's Best Friend and my father's name is Red Devil. I left home when I was eight weeks old and moved to Orange California where I grew up on a ranch with lots of other animals. I took care of kittens, bunnies, and goats just to name a few animals. My favorite thing to do was licking the kittens and I think they liked it too. I love to swim; in fact I swim almost everyday in my swimming pool. I also started going to USC football games when I was six months old and still enjoy going. I love walking around and meeting all the fans, everyone pets me and says how cute I am. Sometimes I drag the opposing teams mascot behind me just for fun and laughs. I still go to all the USC home games and some of the away games. I am always working on something new. In fact right now I am working with Guinness Book of World records for the worlds longest dog tongue record.

I also love going around in our RV (recreational vehicle) to new places lot. I have gone all over the country and I have seen many things. In fact I went white water rafting once in Idaho. The only bad thing about the RV is the bones. I have buried a bone in almost every state and then we move on before I can dig it up. Oh well I am sure that some lucky dogs have found all my bones by now.

Anyhow, I am an official trained therapy dog, registered with Therapy Dogs International, Inc. (TDI (http://tdi-dog.org)) This allows me to visit hospitals and rest homes throughout California. As I stated earlier my goal is to educate people on the process of becoming a therapy dog and the joy it brings others, so here I go. There are several agencies that register therapy dogs. The most popular ones are TDI (therapy dogs international, Inc (http://tdi-dog.org)), Therapy Dogs, Inc (http://www.therapydogs.com) and Service Animal Registry of America (http://affluent.net/sara/). I have included a link to all three of these agencies for you connivance. While I am a member of TDI, they are all great organizations and you should pick the one that works best for you. It is important that you start with an agency that has testing in your area. Most tests are conducted once a week for a nominal fee of $10.00. If you cannot afford the fee please contact me Shera and I will help with that expense. The test runs about 1 hour and covers the dog’s behavior and the handlers control over the dog. There is no formal training required to pass the test. However, most testers also offer training if you dog does not pass on the first attempt. Once you have passed the testing requirements you can join a therapy dog agency. They will supply you with a photo ID card, insurance, and networking to start visiting hospitals and senior centers. The cost of this membership is around $35.00 per year. If you can not afford this expense please contact me Shera and I can help. Also, any dog can become a therapy dog regardless of pedigree, age (over 1 years old), or breed. Now this is where the fun begins. You and your dog can now visit hospitals, nursing homes, senior centers and other locations throughout the USA. Once you and your dog see the immense joy that people get from your visits you will become addicted to it. Dogs bring so much love and happiness especially when people are at the lowest. The laugh of a sick child or the smile from an elderly man makes everything better. So as you can see the process is quite simple and the need for more therapy dogs is huge. If you want more information please contact RJ Smith by phone 714-401-3553 or email rj4prez@hotmail.com. I thank everyone for there support and help sharing love and joy with others. Remember to Lend A Helping Paw whenever possible.

Love Always
Shera
